The Salvation Army Freedom Center

Location Chicago, IL Client The Salvation Army Services Capital Project Management & Owners Representation FFE & OSE Procurement Industries Commercial & Residential IFG served as the Owner’s Representative to The Salvation Army for the development, design, and construction of the new Freedom Center complex located on a six-acre site in the West Humboldt Park neighborhood. IFG assisted with the property purchase, planned development approval, demolition of the existing buildings, environmental remediation, project team selection, design administration and construction oversight. The 180.000 sf multipurpose center includes over 400 beds, multiple classrooms, separate dining rooms, two gymnasiums, a chapel and administrative offices. Designed by Antunovich Associates and constructed by Bulley & Andrews, the LEED certified center opened in September 2015.
